Dead Sheep,” a play by Jonathan Maitland, dramatizes the events leading up to Geoffrey Howe’s resignation speech in 1990, which ultimately contributed to Margaret Thatcher’s downfall. The play explores the strained relationship between Howe and Thatcher, highlighting their disagreements over Europe and Howe’s eventual disenchantment with Thatcher’s policies. James Wilby plays the role of Geoffrey Howe, and the play also features Steve Nallon as Margaret Thatcher and Jill Baker as Elspeth Howe.
